      I thought I’d post this (1) to thank Dr. Binswanger and (2) for those who, like me, are taking this course to accelerate their professional goals.

      After reading about “begging the question,” I realized that one of the papers my boss and I are writing for peer review was employing circular logic: “We need these methods to show subtle differences between these formulations, and we know these formulations are different because the methods show they are.” After we realized that, we restructured the paper to first validate the methods with formulations we know are different in impactful ways, then apply them to subtler formulations. It means we get to incorporate more data, and provide a richer, more meaningful set of observations.

      I’m pretty jazzed.
